Where can I park my RV for free in Sacramento? ›

An RV park is usually more structured and often features amenities like power hookups, laundry facilities, and even pools or hot tubs. However, it is usually more expensive than staying in a campground. Campgrounds, on the other hand, are often less expensive and are typically located in more rural settings.

If you love the great outdoors and want to stay as close as possible to Silverwood, our RV Park and Campground is the way to go. It features 131 full hook-ups, 44 tent only sites and quick and easy access to Silverwood and Boulder Beach via an underground tunnel.

Lake O' Pines RV Park offers short and long-term rentals. They have full hookups for RV sites including electricity and free WIFI. If you have a kid, there is a playground for them to runs and play.

Free California RV camping is available on public lands administered by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) and the USFS (US Forest Service). State parks, US Army Corps of Engineers, Fish and Wildlife Service, and more allow free RV camping.

We stayed 2 nights and honestly this campground exceeded my expectations. It's very clean, the sites are grassy and all have picnic tables and fire pits. Free showers are private and also very clean.

Alcohol - Alcoholic beverage consumption is PROHIBITED in all Day-Use Areas of the park. Violators are subject to citation and possible ejection from the park. (CCR T14 4326).

The cost for these campsites is $36 (per site). Fires: Wood fires are permitted all year, however, from May through September, campfires in Yosemite Valley are only allowed between 5 pm and 10 pm (campfires are allowed at any time from October through April).

Lake O' the Pines has designated swimming beaches at Alley Creek, Brushy Creek and Johnson Creek Campgrounds. We also have beaches at Shady Grove (Brushy Day Use), Johnson Day Use and two at Lakeside Park.
