FROM AN IMPOSTER TO A FIRST CLASS GRADUATE Having a unique way of seeing things make struggling students to make a remarkable difference The story of Ogungbe Justice taught me that belief and effort can turn any journey into a success story.Once upon a time, Justice struggled with his studies and rarely scored above a passing mark, and if he score such,he could not defend it at all. His parents, though supportive, worried about his future. When UPHOLDER INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL met Justice, after attending about four different schools, we didn't just see a struggling pupil; we saw an opportunity to make a difference. Words like, we believe in you but you have to start believing in yourself first, concerted effort and belief turn his story around and today at the prestigious Lagos state university during their 27th convocation, Justice bag a first class (Hons) and UPHOLDER was ably represented by young minds from primary and secondary session in order to ignite the spirit of success in the younger generation the more. (Success celebrating Success)The words of his dad today says " parent should not give up on their children but just try to get an enabling environment for them to strive".Abati omotokunbo bolaji Oluwaseun Iyasere PhD Yemisi Legunsen John Sobola Sorunke Olubukun #passion #youthdevelopment #linkedinfamily

No such thing! except we create one in our imagination I met Mr Kayode Ogungbe years ago when someone recommended that I could be of help to his child who was struggling with his academic as at then.In his word, Mr Ogungbe said he has got not less than four personal tutors for his child (Ogungbe Justice ) to no avail. But base on the recommendation about my methodology and track records,he(Mr Kayode Ogungbe)will give it a last trial and if no response( particularly on the child to be reading), it will be assumed that Justice *is not destined to strive academically* (he said it in Yoruba: 'ma mò pe orí è, ko fe kàwé')I told Mr Kayode that, no such thing as not destined to strive, and that every child is intelligent; he or she only need a teacher to bring out the best in him or her. After grooming Ogungbe Justice over time, it was discovered that he has an excellent potential in that same academic, that he was initially presume not to be destined for. Has your child met that teacher, that will bring out the best in him or her?Mr Kayode Ogungbe just sent me the notification of result for the first degree of Ogungbe Justice in which he graduated with a first class(Hons.)Let's chat here: Do you believe every child is intelligent, that they only need a teacher to bring out the best in them.Abati omotokunbo bolaji Scholarship Abroad Yemisi Legunsen Sorunke Olubukun Oluwaseun Iyasere PhD #education #passion #scientist #youthdevelopment #linkedinfamily

Lighting the hearts of future generations in education can not be overemphasised. UPHOLDER INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL this past weekend lightened the minds of the children during their sporting festival (inter-house sport), in which the children had a lot of fun and learned lessons to build them more in the line of positive competition, collaboration, aspirations, and the spirit of sportsmanship in all they do in life.Having the children in the blue, pink, green and yellow houses, competing for three medals and wins for their houses. After competing favorably, Green, Yellow and Pink House won the gold, silver and bronze medals, respectively. Something unique all through the event was the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited by the children. This also brought out 'hidden talents' that are unique to children, irrespective of their ages. Just hoping and believing that with the persistent work and the vision to ensure that the children water, grow and follow their talent, a new generation of athletes and stars will be produced in no time.#education #passion #talent #sport #youthdevelopment Abati omotokunbo bolaji Sorunke Olubukun Yemisi Elizabeth Legunsen

The idea of inviting speakers from different works of life to speak to the children at their tender stage in UPHOLDER SCHOOL is to really help the children to discover on time their innate potentials which environment and lack of exposure kill in so many lives. This innate potentials are global solution for this generation and generation yet unborn. That is why UPHOLDER SCHOOL has been committed to this course of discovering and utilizing on time. Exposure sometimes bring to lifeline the thought of the heart. Having exposed the children to the lecture by @iyasereoluwaseun on the topic PASSION IS STRENGTH and another by Mondiat Gbadamosi ( founder of Kiddie Cloud Academy in Texas USA) on the topic HOW TO TURN DREAMS TO REALITY . The children expressed some of their fears by asking questions that review some of the worries and discouragement they have within them . Questions like "how can we fund our expensive dreams", like becoming a pilot in the future seeing that my parents are not buoyant to fund such, a pronounce pianist and the likes. UPHOLDER SCHOOL has not only birth the idea of giving the children the courage to pursue their passions but has also put them on the pedestrian of possibilitiesSome of the take home messages from the past lectures that the children shared include1.Passion is energy 2. Idea may be stolen but passion cannot be stolen by anyone 3. dreaming big even from your humble beginning3. Choosing your friends and people you spend time with in order not to be talk down on your dreams 4. Having role model to look up to, is also vital in achieving ones dream. I am so excited that this little ignition can bring a whole lot of fire into these great minds. Following the lecture held on the 9th February, 2024 by Oluwaseun Iyasere PhD with the UPHOLDER INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL on the topic PASSION IS STRENGTH in which the children were exposed to the world of possibilities of their innate potentials. The feedback was almost immediately when Israel from JSS 2 immediately launched his building/electrical project because he was been inspired by the talk and he don't want to wait any longer before applying the knowledge acquired.Definitely, great vision can be birth through this project of exposing the young minds to things they ought to know. You can also contribute to this great work, just as Oluwaseun Iyasere PhD has done, likewise the children need some basic tools like laptops, sporting equipment, even instructors to help them actualize there dreams.Abati omotokunbo bolaji Sorunke Olubukun Yemisi Elizabeth Legunsen #education #childdevelopment #passionproject #futuregenerations #youthdevelopment #counselor

I am a passionate educator who really wants the very best for the younger generation. Out of my burning desire to raise children who will be free from ignorance, I started a low cost nursery and primary private school in Badagry, a local government area of Lagos State, 12 years ago.Identifying that ignorance is the root cause of all superstition and that this superstition gives birth to fear, which fosters poverty (my people die for lack of knowledge, that is, ignorance), I am committed in my heart to help escape ignorance. At a virtual reunion meeting of the COLANIM 2005 sets in January, 2024. I was able to connect with old friends and school mates. During the meeting, there was an opportunity to share with others our current career, and I spoke about being an educator, and I was surprised at the support I got from my colleagues. One of these supports is what birthed the talk delivered to the pupils by Oluwaseun Iyasere PhD on the topic ‘PASSION IS STRENGTH’. Making the young generation see how they can turn passion into global solutions. The number of out-of-school children and child labour has been reduced in our immediate environment but is yet to be eradicated because of the resources to do so. Some of the children during the lecture spoke about having a passion for coding but having no resources like laptops to encourage them; without a computer system to practice, programming courses can be boring. Some do mention sports as their passions, but a well-befitting facility for sport is still a big limitation to this potential in the children. Our service in UPHOLDER INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL to the community needs global support like the one Oluwaseun Iyasere PhD gave us from Germany. I just believe that with consistency and the support of like-minded people across the globe, we will surely make headway with this vision.Sorunke Olubukun Abati omotokunbo bolaji Yemisi Elizabeth Legunsen Olamigoke Ifarajimi Abiodun Adeleye #education #passion #childdevelopment Let's connect and work it out together, the young generation must be free from ignorance.

Good day, '#Linkedinfamily. Actually, this is my first time making an official post on this platform because I have been taking my time to understand how things work here, but anyhow, despite my little understanding of this platform at the moment, I feel I should share my story today after having a series of chats with my colleague Oluwaseun Iyasere PhD , who happens to be a Linkedin advocate.I am a graduate of pasture and range management from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. I discovered after graduation that I was passionate about discovering and solving children's needs, especially in the area of their education. My own experience in the education sectorcould be traced to my struggle with learning growing up as a child. I was tutored by a classmate of mine by the name of Joy Egbeaze, who by now would have gotten married and changed names (you are most appreciated). She volunteered to coach me when I could not pronounce the two-letter word 'it' at age 11 in primary 5. My teacher then, Mrs. Kudoro, recommended that I be demoted to primary 2, but Joy pleaded that I should be given a term trial, and she volunteered to take me on an extra class during lunch break. It was a very difficult experience then because Joy will only allow me 5 to 10 minutes of the 40-minute break; the remaining 30 to 35 minutes will be for tutorial while my mates will be enjoying their play. I cooperated with her because I had to pass the probationary period. Having passed through this rigorous training and learning consciously at that mature age of 11, the step-by-step guide she used helped me figure out how to help others that need to learn how to read. Sincerely using this method has helped me over the past two decades to replicate this on people, especially children, to the extent that for the last 10 years plus, I have been producing children of ages 4, 5 and 6 that will read fluently (even the bible). This has actually called for the need to reach out to more people struggling to read. I am currently working on how to create an online course this year.Sorunke Olubukun Olarenwajucephasokeleji Olamigoke Ifarajimi Abiodun Adeleye IloriBabatundeMoses Yemisi Elizabeth Legunsen Abati omotokunbo bolaji #education #childeducation #youthdevelopment #futuregeneration #counselor #personaldevelopment #passionLet's connect to grow the future of the children.
